!!!!! THE ELECTRIC MENU !!!!!

The Electric Menu is my idea of applying Digital Signage (Wikipedia) to the restaurant business.

You may have noticed, how many estate agents and retailers have now picked up on this invention.

I can now incorporate Panoramas (QTVR) and Virtual tour movies in the Electric menu !
You will find hardly anyone in the UK who is able to do this.

But for any great presentation, you also need a good and creative photographer,
since this is the most important aspect.

I have got 15 years experience in food, interior and advertising photography and have worked for many restaurants,
understanding time scales, working with chefs and staff.

The Electric Menu has a great advantage especially for restaurants, which look small on the outside,
but might have several floors or rooms, which the customer is not able to see from the outside.

Once produced, you will be able to change images or text / menu charts yourself by replacing the .jpeg files.

There will be an additional charge, if you decide in the future to change the layouts or time effects
But this is normally not necessary.

I you would like to run this Electric Menu also as a Virtual Tour movie on your web site,
it needs to be reduced in file size (additional charge) .

Design

The design can be fully arranged to your requirements:

You can match it with your interior design or your web site or any way you prefer.

You can either play it full screen (without any toolbars on top or bottom) on your monitor,
or I can design a skin / layout for you.

You can add several windows playing various Virtual Tour Movies, sideshows or Panoramas at the same time.
And you can add automatically blending Menu Charts, scrolling text panes for announcement or insert movies.

If you have a monitor with loudspeakers, you can also add music to the presentation.

 

Screen Resolution / Aspect Ratio

The electric menu can be designed for all resolution and aspect ratios for any LCD, Plasma screens or HDTV screens.

Requirements

All you need a PC with internet explorer.
A fast graphic card, 2 GB of memory and processor of min 2.4 are recommended.
This will improve the image quality and the appearance of movies.


You can use any monitor up to 50 inch in landscape or portrait display.
The cost effective solution is a wide screen 22inch LCD monitor, which only needs a cable to connect to your PC.

There are several applications for digital signage, but they are quite expensive compared to my package.

 

The timescale to produce an Electric Menu consists of 4 days:
2 days photography (food, interior, portraits, exterior, still images etc (as many as we can fit into the days),
2 days work on the computer for retouching, stitching, designing etc.
